First look at Mad Box, a planned rival to Xbox and PlayStation | AIB
Just a week ago the “Mad Box” was announced, a new console that was born with the aim of being the most powerful machine on the market. In development by Slightly Mad Studios, creators of Project CARS, this console promises to offer the games in 4K at 60 fps – according to those in charge – as well as support for VR.
Of course, there is still a lot to see in this console, Slightly Mad Studios advancing their work on the interior and exterior design of the console, and have already published an outline of the aspect that will have the Mad Box when finalized. Through their Twitter account, the founder and president of the company, Ian Bell, has shown the first version of the design that will unveil their Mad Box console.
As we can see, the Mad Box shows a very futuristic and certainly stylized design with a front touch panel that shows the information about the game that is running or the notifications of your account. Customizable RGB lights and supports to position the console horizontally, vertical or even attached to the wall, as well as with different color and texture options for its housing.
However, the most remarkable thing is the presence of the name “Project CARS Revolution” in one of the images, a game that does not exist yet but about which Ian Bell has hinted on Twitter that “it could be” one of the games to launch their console. Even so, as he says in his first tweet, the design of the Mad Box probably changes over time, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to know the final version of this design.
