Galaxy S9 Launch

Samsung confirmed that the launch of the Galaxy S9 would be held on February 25 in the framework of the Mobile Devices World Congress (MWC 2018). The Galaxy S9 presale would start on March 1 and would be available on March 16.

Design

The construction of glass panels with a metal edge, curved screen without almost bevels and fingerprint reader in the back would remain, as images were filtered in the Chinese social network Weibo. Also, according to the popular Twitter filtering @evleaks, the Galaxy S9 will be more refinement than a drastic change compared to what we met with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, including a version with 5.8 inches and another 6.2 inches.

However, the SamMobile blog suggests that the ratio between screen and body will increase from 84 percent to almost 90 percent. This could mean that the bevels will be even smaller, possibly reducing more than the entire lower edge of the cell. On the other hand, it is rumored that Samsung could present a third cell with the arrival of the two Galaxy S9, a version with a 5-inch screen and with the name Galaxy S9 Mini.

Features and specifications

Although the filtering has great accuracy in the information it reveals, other rumors suggest that the two will have a double rear camera.

Another significant innovation that is talked about is that the fingerprint reader would now be in the lower part of the camera module, it would have AKG stereo speakers, and it would keep the traditional headphone connector (3.5mm).

Samsung would keep the same fast charge of its flagship phones in recent years, Quick Charge 2.0 with (9V / 1.67A of 15 watts), according to revealed a certification for the Chinese market.

Price

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are presumed to keep the same price structure as their predecessors. This means that the proposed price should be USD 749 for the Galaxy S9 and USD 849 for the Galaxy S9 Plus.
