Dainik Jagran is an Indian-Hindi language daily newspaper from Jagran Prakashan Ltd (JPL) started back in 1942. Now, it is the most read daily newspaper in India for the 25th consecutive time and the second-largest publication in India by circulation as per Audit Bureau of Circulations (India).
Since its inception, Dainik Jagran has marked an era of awakening; the publication has always stood for its mission which aims at 360-degree development and empowerment of the society. Dainik Jagran vision has always been ‘creating a newspaper that would reflect the free voice of the people.’
Over the years the publication not only strengthened its editorial stance but has also set out the on the drive towards modernization and growing communication among its readers and paper. It’s content always focused on Environmental Conservation, Mass Employment Opportunity, Health for the Society, Education for the society and many more.
Dainik Jagran always showed the determination to change society rather than gathering multiple news, their seriousness of bringing various topics related to societal growth in the form of debates, articles, and discussions in the eye of its readers on a daily basis.
In the year 1942, Shri Puran Chandra Gupta, JC Arya, and Shri Gurudev Gupta launched Dainik Jagran to voice nationalistic sentiments when the freedom struggle of India had reached its crescendo. The publication found its character in the “Quit India Movement.” Be it that epic day or today, Dainik Jagran has always marked the era of changes pointed at societal development.
Dainik Jagran has played an indispensable part in the renewal of the nation and running it together towards a higher purpose through these legendary slogans.
