Star Wars making a movie about Obi-Wan Kenobi | AIB

The science-fiction saga "Star Wars" is making a film that will revolve around the character of the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, reported on The Hollywood Reporter.

This project is still in an early stage of development, and that is negotiated with director Stephen Daldry, the director of the films "Billy Elliot" (2000), "The Hours" (2002) And "The Reader" (2008). There are still no signed actors or scripts for the film about Obi-Wan Kenobi, a project that for years has been the subject of rumors and speculation by fans of "Star Wars."

Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most charismatic characters in the saga composed by George Lucas since his first appearance in "Star Wars IV - A New Hope" (1977). In that film was interpreted by the actor Alec Guinness, that was nominated for the Oscar for the best secondary actor by its work similar to the guardian of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The role gained a greater influence in the second trilogy of "Star Wars", when the interpreter Ewan McGregor incarnated a young Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars I - The Phantom Menace" (1999), "Star Wars II - Attack Of The Clones "(2002), and" Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith "(2005).

If this project of a feature film about Obi-Wan Kenobi comes to fulfillment, it would be the third spin-off of the main plot of "Star Wars." Last year, "Rogue One" (2016), with Felicity Jones and Diego Luna as cast leaders, was presented, while in May 2018 a tape was released around the character of Han Solo, who popularized Harrison Ford.

The next installment of the "Star Wars" universe that will land in theaters is "Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi," which premieres this December and which, with the lead role of Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill, will continue the narration begun For "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens."
