Nintendo unveils 2DS XL, a $150 Portable Game System | AIB

Nintendo is one of the few entertainment companies that are still positive in the concept of a portable console in the middle of the onslaught of mobile devices. Later, they have to adapt to change by stepping into the realm. But despite the official play in segment game mobile, does not mean Nintendo intend to remove their dominance in a handheld.

After refreshing 3DS approximately three years ago, this time it's 2DS turn to get an upgrade. 2DS is the entry-level version of 3DS, minus the stereoscopic 3D capability. Although praised for its lower price, 2DS got a lot of criticism, mainly related to poor design, sound quality, and weak battery life. Perhaps this motivates Nintendo to compose the latest variant, 2DS XL.

On April 27, 2017, yesterday, Nintendo unveiled the agenda for launching a more advanced version of 2DS: 2DS XL. It will be the third member of the Nintendo handheld game system family, filling the gap between standard 2DS and 3DS XL. The release of Nintendo 2DS XL will be linked with the release of two new blockbuster games, Hey! Pikmin and Miitopia.

"The new addition to Nintendo's portable hardware lineup demonstrates our commitment to the handheld market," Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America, said in a press release. "Nintendo 2DS XL presents a beautiful clamshell design and offers the best balance between price and performance."

Different from 2DS with its ugly design, the New Nintendo 2DS XL design resembles 3DS. It presents two screens in each component, connected via hinges, with the top larger than the bottom. Compared to 2DS, the panel at 2DS XL is 82 percent wider, and its weight is also lighter.

Its layout is also almost identical to the 3D variant: D-pad, thumb stick and home button are in the range of the left thumb; Then the action button along with the start and select button on the right. Nintendo also puts two pairs of buttons behind to control the camera as well as an additional input.

2DS XL also got component upgrades, now more powerful. It is compatible to Amiibo, by just tapping the figure on the screen below. And different from Switch, 2DS XL supported backward compatibility feature, which means it can still run old games.

Nintendo 2DS XL is scheduled to be released on July 28 later in the United States at $ 150.

Food Wastage: Is India Ready To Tackle This Peril? | AIB

Food wastage is becoming a grave concern in the world right now. According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), annually one-third of the food produced is wasted costing the global economy about $750 billion. It said that 1.3 billion tons of food every year wasted and it impacts directly on our nature. It is an excess in an age in which almost one billion people go hungry and represents a loss of labor, water, energy, land and other inputs used in the production of these foods.

The loss and waste of food refer to its decline in the successive stages of the food supply chain destined for human consumption. Food is lost or wasted during the supply chain, from initial production to final household consumption. The decline may be accidental or intentional but ultimately leads to less food availability for all. When food is lost or spoiled before reaching its final product phase or retail sale, we are talking about a loss of food. This may be due to problems in the infrastructure and logistics shortfalls, lack of technology, lack of skills, knowledge and management skills of the actors involved In the food chain, or to the operational restrictions that may arise from legal regulations.

India is a vital contributor on account of both pre and post harvest waste in cereals, pulses, fruits and vegetables. The Government of India has made a lot of efforts to control the food wastage, but the clear reason behind this is inappropriate supply chain management and lack of basic facility to store the foods. As per a survey by IIM Kolkata, only 10% foods get cold storage facility in India.

In order make progress, the Authorities must also concentrate on food processing technologies that are both advanced and affordable so that food storage practices can be encouraged thereby saving food from wastage. India should also take the lead from global practices that are both different and innovative to tackle food wastage problem. For instance, France has reached unanimous legislation requiring supermarkets to either give unsold food to charity or send it to farmers for use as feed and fertilizer.

It concludes that saving one-fourth of the food currently lost or wasted globally would be sufficient to sustain 870 million hungry people in the world. It is our right to eat the food not to waste it.

So I hope better sense prevails for the Government in addressing this foretelling of food waste!

Call Of Duty: WWII officially declared by Activision | AIB

Activision has announced Call of Duty: WWII as the next game in the series. This return to the Second World War does not amaze us very much. Sledgehammer Games is developing Call of Duty: WWII. The studio was previously lead to 2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Activision's saga of shooters has long been making us fantasize about the armed conflicts of the future, but the 'Call Of Duty' we'll see in 2017 will reinvent itself, and sometimes to step forward you need to look back ... In particular towards the Second World War.

World War II is the sort of history-defining experience that can give endless supply for writers to explore. And every age interacts with that battle through different stories. The parents of soldiers, of course, lived through the war and fought in it and immersed in the war, even if their family has not spoken openly about their battlefield experiences.

Now it is only a few days to wait for the illusion for the saga to return. It’s easy to see why Activision determined to go down this plan. Despite Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare being the bestselling game of 2016, it only accomplished to trade half as much as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 this year prior. Interest in modern and future warfare is fading, and a World War 2 theme can lure back fans.

The 'Call of Duty' saga hit the market with the intention of dislodging Electronic Arts' 'Medal of Honor' series, settling into the greatest war in the twentieth century during its first three installments.

At the time, we don’t know much more than that, and we will get more info about the game on Wednesday, April 26 during the Call of Duty: WWII Global Reveal Livestream.

Facebook Has A New Virtual Reality Social Network | AIB

Facebook announced several new products at its F8 Developer Conference this week, with a sharp focus on virtual and augmented reality. It will be a new experience for us having an option of interacting with our friends in virtual scenarios, where we will have the possibility to carry out various activities.

This new feature will be known as 'Facebook Spaces,' which was presented a year ago officially, and during the conference at developers F8, Facebook announced the first beta of this new virtual social network for all users of Oculus.

Facebook Spaces is a virtual reality, where we connect with our friends in the Facebook account in a 3D environment and seek to enhance the expression through avatars and voice messages. With this, Facebook wants to create a more natural way of communication.

The appearance of each avatar is like a mimicked form that is born of mixing several of our photographs, with which we will have our image in 3D within Facebook Spaces. With this, the next thing is to find friends to chat, to visit places that are not only limited to sites extracted from another location and we can also capture 360-degree photographs to share with other people. In addition to meetings to share photos, videos, drawings in 3D, and also participate in some games.

Facebook Spaces is now available in the Oculus Store for free, but to make use of it, we will need Oculus Rift, the touch controls, as they will allow us to interact with the options. Among the options, we should find this in beta version; it gives virtual tours, for example, we can visit the International Space Station with a friend or make video calls through Messenger, where you doesn't need a contact in Facebook Spaces.

Besides that, we can find spaces to chat while we draw in 3D, where we can even take 'virtual' selfies with our contacts. At the moment, Facebook Spaces only allows interaction between four contacts at the same time, but this number will get expand when it is officially released. The Zuckerberg company does not seek to limit itself to the Oculus platform, as they strive to extend the compatibility of this virtual social network to other platforms, something that will be announced later.

Google Plans To Launch Its Own Ad-Blocker In Chrome | AIB

Google is planning to add an ad-blocking feature in the mobile and desktop versions of its popular Chrome web browser, and this news is from anonymous sources Of The Wall Street Journal.

This decision might sound strange and incongruous, but no, Google has a whole plan behind this strategy, which presumed would benefit their intervention in the digital advertising market, and incidentally, would seek to stop the increase of the third party popular tools, As in the case of Adblock Plus.

According to the report, Google is still thinking about introducing a native ad blocking tool that would arrive with the next Chrome update. This feature would be announced in the coming weeks when it launches in beta and will be focused on, "filtering some types of online ads that are considered to provide bad experiences to consumers while surfing the web."

Google is currently taking the role of consumer protector when deciding what propaganda is fair and what is bad. It has assumed that  Google may choose to automatically block, with the default browser selection, the so-called "unacceptable ads" agreement to the Best Ads Coalition's ranking. These include pop-up ads, auto-play video with sound ads, or countdown timers, as well as those that are considered "below consumer approval thresholds."

This new feature would also have the selection to block all ads. However, it has believed that Google would put some filter so that your ads will not get blocked. This displacement will cause all owners of a web page to have to check that all the ads comply with the rules decreed by Google. Otherwise, they will be in danger of all this advertising being blocked by Chrome automatically.

On the other hand, this tactic has a second reading that is to curb the increase and intervention of third party locking tools, which have grown in a valuable way in recent years. The WSJ understands that in the United States alone, 26 percent of desktop consumers have a tool to block ads.

Here it is significant to consider that Google currently pays Adblock Plus to be part of its programming of "acceptable ads," but apparently, Google now wants to control this so that its free trade is not affected and thus do not have to depend on a third party. According to StatCounter, Chrome has almost 47.5% of the browser market in the United States, so Google search use this location to be the one to dictate the rules, all for its most significant trade that is advertising.

Google is planning to add an ad-blocking feature in the mobile and desktop versions of its popular Chrome web browser, and this news is ...

Ooho! Edible Water Bubble Aims To Eliminate Plastic Bottles | AIB

Skipping Rocks Lab is a seaweed-tech startup based in London has invented an edible water sphere (Ooho) to mitigate the damage caused by plastic bottles to the environment.

With more than 223 billion liters per year and 400% growth in the last three decades, bottled water is one big problem.  Only one in five bottles gets recycled; That is, thousands of bottles are stacked on beaches and landfills.

This Edible Water Blob Could Change Hydration Forever!

Ooho is a vessel that contains water on a double membrane, using a technique to shape liquids in spheres called "spherification." A method that encapsulates foods with textures of gelatin, so that they have a consistency similar to the fish roe.

It requires two elements: sodium alginate, a natural thickener (E-401) from algae, and calcium chloride (E-509). The result of these two compounds produces a relatively stable gelled wall which retains the liquid therein. To drink the water, you only have to break the sphere and suck the water inside. But do not worry, it's edible.

This project has won several European innovation contests and has become popular again because of this year, Rodrigo García González, Pierre Paslier, and Guillaume Couche created seaweed-tech startup Ooho; if all goes well, it will strike the markets soon. A bottle of water you can eat.

Writing on their Skipping Rocks Lab website, they add: "Ooho! is a sustainable packaging alternative to plastic bottles and cups, made from a seaweed extract."

Underlining the brilliance of their idea, they continue: "Our packaging is cheaper than plastic and can encapsulate any beverage including water, soft drinks, spirits, and even cosmetics."

It could be the solution to the far-reaching problem of bottled water in plastic. Recall that the packaging of water uses more fossil fuels. Most water bottles were made with polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a plastic derived from petroleum. 86% of plastic water bottles used worldwide has become rubbish or stuffing. Incineration of used bottles generates toxic by-products such as chlorinated gas. Buried bottles can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade.

Skipping Rocks Lab is seeking to prevent 1 billion water bottles from reaching the ocean each year by selling these edible water bubbles.

Hence the great revolution that this invention would suppose on our planet, a positive impact on our society tough to quantify but of millionaire proportions.

Being Overweight Doesn't Mean You're Unhealthy - AIB

Losing weight is now a top priority for people because if you are overweight or obese, losing weight can reduce the risk of some serious health problems.

But we have always thought that being thin is the opposite of being obese and that anyone who is not overweight is a person who enjoys good health. However, it is possible to have excess fat but not excess weight: these are the metabolically sheer Obese or normal weight obese.

Weight and BMI vs. Body Fat

BMI correlates well with body fat percentage, people who have a healthy weight but are obese at the metabolic level. That means healthy weight or metabolically obese people of average weight who have a BMI lower than 25 present has greater adiposity at the abdominal visceral level, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, lower level of physical activity and a profile Atherogenic lipid, according to a study by Canadian scientists. This latter feature represents dyslipidemia characterized by triglycerides, total and bad cholesterol or LDL elevated in blood together with good cholesterol or reduced HDL.

All these factors describe that normal weight people do not fall into the category of obesity according to BMI, but they do have features of this disease at the metabolic level, and therefore, they are at greater risk of suffering diabetes as well as suffering from pathologies Cardiovascular diseases.

Metabolically obese normal-weight people demonstrate that being "thin" does not mean being healthy and that, beyond the weight, what matters is other parameters such as the percentage of body fat.

Thus, for years it was underestimated that the number of truly obese people because individuals with the average body were also hiding this disease. In fact, it has estimated that 3 in 10 are actually obese.

The key is to learn that weight does not say everything and being thin is not equivalent with good health. Since timely detection in the metabolic obese person can do much to prevent diseases and promote their good health, especially by instilling Good lifestyle habits, healthy diet, regular exercise and other healthy behaviors can reverse the characteristics of an obese in the average body weight.

Losing weight is now a top priority for people because if you are overweight or obese, losing weight can reduce the risk of some serious...

Microsoft Reveals The Most Powerful Games Console Ever Made | AIB

The Xbox Scorpio is apparently gaining its position as the most powerful and advanced console ever made. Xbox Scorpio is capable of running ultra settings with room to spare, according to Forza developers. Obviously, the console will be holding the latest possible standards, including FreeSync and next-gen HDMI, as well.

As Microsoft promised, through in-depth analysis since Digital Foundry has examined into what the highest Xbox card will offer, and that means we will not have to wait for the machine to be announced officially to know there is Case. Input architecture, some cores, and the cache maintained, but the frequency is not precisely the same. Xbox Scorpio is not a subtle update of the current models of XBox One. It is a much more advanced design and in line with what will expect of a console of the current generation that will be compatible with all previous software and Which will set the UWP.

As for the specs, the CPU is said to be 30% quicker than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times greater than its predecessor.Interestingly, the 8GB of memory - which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One - allows the console to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.

The list of Xbox Scorpio specs can seen here...

  • CPU Eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz
  • GPU 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz
  • Memory 12GB GDDR5
  • Memory Bandwidth 326GB/s
  • Hard Drive 1TB 2.5-inch
  • Optical Drive 4K UHD Blu-ray

The basic idea is that Xbox Scorpio will live with the Xbox One and will offer the same games, being the same system in essence but not in the technical, and whose relative difference will be evident. The bonus of Xbox Scorpio is that it resets the hardware thanks to the slug that allows its technical section will achieve an optimal performance of all the games and eliminating those limits that could be found in the console Original, although we will not see miracles as 60 fps in games limited to half by the developers.

But the most curious thing is that according to Digital Foundry, it is an unusually large processor and that - logically and as in any console - tends to warm up. However, Microsoft will moderate its temperature to a particular cooling chamber that remembers in operation the views on the GTX 1080 graphics cards. The games will benefit from a substantial improvement in the Xbox Scorpio, although we have to keep in mind that we will not see miracles: if a game blocked at 30fps will not reach 60fps in any console - although technically possible.

But, as we know in its processor, from this moment the game in 4K comes to the desktop of Microsoft and is in the hands of developers to make them get the most out of the new system. Although it never hurts to remember the need to have a TV in 4K to enjoy the experience.

Dynamic resolution games will receive the highest resolution they can offer. That does not mean that the previous games will reach the native 4K thanks to the extra power of the console, but games like 'The Witcher III' reaching 900p on Xbox One will now be enjoyable in an always grateful 1080p. The resolution is an important aspect, but without adequate textures, some of the magic is lost, and in PS4 and Xbox One these have paled compared to the multisystem that arrive at PC, where its anisotropic filtration 16x Makes a big difference.

The Xbox Scorpio will not only narrow the differences between consoles and PC in the titles already available but also extend this advantage even the backward compatible Xbox 360 games. Microsoft recently provided the options for recording the Xbox interface, and that will suit your new system, with the ability to capture video and images at practically the same resolutions that we will see on the screen and without that affecting our game. A higher CPU speed in clock time has benefits that will felt when resuming our game or start a new mission to which we must see the increase of 8 GB of RAM over the 5GB of Xbox One.

The Xbox Scorpio is apparently gaining its position as the most powerful and advanced console ever made. Xbox Scorpio is capable of runn...

First Time Temperature Controlling Technology in Seat Cover Introduced in India | AIB

First time in India, a new technology has been introduced for making the driving comfortable for drivers in heavy vehicles. Trucking is one of the important links that facilitate productivity and competitive efficiency, leading to a rapid economic development of the country.

In a report, Trucks were found responsible for 11.5% (11,600) and buses were involved in 10,740 of the 1.4 lakh road deaths in 2015. Overheating and over chilling is the primary reason for the decrease in alertness and efficiency levels of truck drivers causing an accident.

Newly introduced technology for drivers ‘ThermaCool Comfort Seat’ provides promising solutions to the problem. This new device is an affordable temperature controlled automobile seat jointly developed and patented by General Motors USA and Dhama Innovations.

This affordable seat can keep the driver at desired temperatures for comfort and efficiency between 14°C and 50°C. It runs on the vehicle’s battery taking only 40 W and has a negligible effect on mileage, said Kranthi Kiran Vistakula, Founder, and CEO of Dhama Innovations.

On average, a truck driver travels around 300 km/day. When the climatic conditions are not favorable, the body reacts negatively. It impacts the mental status of the driver and productivity. ThermaCool Comfort Seat provides comfort to the driver which leads to improved efficiency, increased driver alertness, less fatigue and driver retention. As per calculation, if the driver runs around 300 km a day, even 1% improvement in performance means 1000 km of annual growth or Rs 45000 of increased business potential.

In light of a significant number of road accidents involving trucks, the Government of India is mulling over several strategies to increase driver comfort. It is considering amending the Motor Vehicle Act to make it mandatory for manufacturers to fit ACs into the driver’s cabin of all new trucks sold from April 1st, 2017.

Jitesh Chheda, Owner of Chheda Cargo Carrier, says “AC will not be cost effective for the vehicle transporter. As the mileage will be impacted by over 10%, thereby resulting in the increase in freight. Also, in many cases, cost savings in mileage go to the driver so even if we have AC in the driver cabin, they wouldn’t switch it on and thereby would defeat the whole objective of the government.” In such condition ‘ThermaCool Comfort Seat’ can help provide the promising solution.
